Sweet Pullao

Ingredients:

  • 250 grams rice
  • 150 grams sugar
  • 1 tsp. coarsely pounded cardamom seeds
  • ¼  tsp. finely grated nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp. essence of kewda or rose
  • 25 grams fried and sliced cashewnuts and raisins and pea­nuts
  • 2 tblsps. fried charoli
  • Silver foil

Method:

Pour in 500 grams water and bring to a boil.

Now put in the rice, cardamoms and nutmeg and cook till the rice is tender and dry.

Mix in nuts and essence and remove from fire. Cover with foil before serving.
