Summer’s heating up here in India and everybody’s heading to all things cool. Raw (Unripe) mangoes are mostly used for preparing pickles or in some cases eaten with a dash of salt and pepper.
This raw mango drink will be spicy & tangy and makes for a good thirst quencher on a hot evening.
Raw Mango Drink
Ingredients
Raw mangoes: 3- Ginger: a small flake
- Roasted jeera powder: 1 tbsp
- Black pepper: 1 tsp
- Black salt: to taste
- Sugar: 1 cup
- Fresh mint leaves: 1 teacup
How to make / Method:
- Boil the mangoes, mint leaves and ginger.
- Cool and remove the pulp. Pass it through a sieve and take out the thick juice.
- Add sugar to the above juice. Add water to dilute it.
- Mix well until the sugar dissolves. Strain the juice.
- Add the roasted jeera powder, black salt and pepper.
- Mix well. Chill the juice before serving.
