This snack combines two popular snacks; Cutlet and channa masala. Cutlet is usually a flattened circular preparation made from mashed potatoes while channa masal is popular side dish, most famous being the Channa Bhatura.
Potato - 1/2 kg
Fried gram flour - 1/4 cup
Onions, big - 2
ginger - 1 flake
maida - 1/2 cup
Bread crumbs - from a slice or 2 of bread
salt to taste
oil for frying

For Channa masala:
Channa 1 cup
Onions, big -2
tomato - 3
ginger-garlic paste - 2tsps
chilli powder - 1 tsp
channa masala powder - 1 tsp
Black salt - 1 tsp
coriander leaves -a small bunch
oil - 2 tblsp
salt to taste
Soak channa overnight. Boil the potatoes, pell the skin, strain and mash itwhen hot. Chop onions, ginger and chillies and fry it in 2 tblsps of oil. Add the mashed potatoes, salt, fried gram dhal flour, garam masala, and fry well. After frying cool this and form small cutlets (circles). Mix maida with water to obtain a dosa like consistency; Dip the cutlets in maida and roll it thouroughly with bread crumbs and deep fry it in hot oil.
Cook channa in a pressure cooker with enough water and salt. Chop onions and tomato . Heat a pan; Put onions, ginger-garlic paste and fry till the raw smell is gone. After this add the channa, channa masala powder, black salt and bring to a boil. garnish it with coriander leaves.
Serve the cutlets along with channa masala with finely chopped onions and coriander leaves.
