Aval (Rice Flakes) Uppuma
Aval (Rice Flakes) - 200 gms oil - 4 tsps mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp Urad dal - 1 tsp Black pepper - 1/2 tsp cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp salt to taste
Soak aval in water for 1/2 hour.Heat little oil in a pan, add mustard seeds.
When it pops, add urud dal, whole black pepper, cumin seeds and salt. Drain the water from the aval and add it to the pan and fry.
You can mix curd with soaked aval if you like.
